Is it laundry day?

Crawling down the hallway
The hallway has become Micaela's expressway. She loves crawling and demands freedom to roam around now that she knows what she is capable of.

Pulling Up
Micaela is hitting milestones almost every week! Her first tooth has broken through on the bottom. She is also pulling up! She isn't doing this too often yet, but I caught her doing it while playing in the crib today. It is a good thing that her crib has a chewing guard on the top!

Update on the Kids
I just wanted to put up a few pictures that we have taken lately. Both kids are getting so big! I can't believe it. Mateo is already trying to plan his own play dates with friends. After soccer practice, I will often overhear him saying to a friend, "Hey, do you want to come over to my house for dinner?" Micaela is officially crawling and on the go all the time. She is eating more and more "people food." She loves yogurt, potatoes (like any true Peruvian), Cheerios, and just about anything she can get Mateo to share with her.
The recreational fields at UNC, we spent a Sunday morning kicking the soccer ball around.
At the soccer fields, we found a tractor that was not in use. We couldn't pass up the opportunity for a photo op! Mateo LOVED it :-)

A Day Out with Thomas

Mateo had such a good time with his Abuelitos last year, that we decided to drive out to Spencer, NC to spend another day with Thomas. Mateo had a blast and Micaela was entertained too. We rode on the "real thomas," met Sir Topham Hat, saw Bob the Builder, played with train sets, and saw a real roundhouse with lots of real trains. When we got there, Mateo asked us, "Are we on the Island of Sodor?" How cute!!!!!
Soccer Practice
Mateo is in a soccer league, practicing twice/week with games on Saturdays. His good friend Lily is on the team and he has made several new friends too. Miguel is the coaching the team with Lily's Daddy, Nick as assistant coach! It is a lot of fun and a lot of learning too. These are a couple of videos from Mateo's practice. They are practicing dribbling in one and in the other, they are jumping over cones, pretending to be frogs.
